The new Master of Professional Studies (MPS) in Design Management and Communications(DMC) program at the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies (scs.georgetown.edu) seeks a full-time Faculty Director. The Faculty Director serves as thesenior administrative and academic leader of the program. Duties include (but are not limited): curriculum development and assessment; recruitment, training and assessment of adjunctfaculty; and ensuring that program objectives align with industry standards. The Faculty Director will work collaboratively with the Senior Associate Dean and other faculty directors in the Division of Professional Communications, as well as administrative and faculty colleagues across the School of Continuing Studies.
In addition, the Faculty Director is also responsible for teaching courses (6 credits) eachfall/spring and one course (3 credits) each summer.
Candidates must have a master’s degree in a related field; an earned doctoral degree is strongly preferred. In addition, candidates should have five or more years of relevant industry and/or teaching experience in design management/visual communications.
This is a non-tenure track, full-time, benefits-eligible, renewable, twelve-month faculty appointment. Screening of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
