The Instructional Technology Development Specialist (Instructional Designer) provides leadership and vision for online learning along with colleagues within the Office of Online Learning. S/he will work collaboratively with online learning staff, and faculty in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, to design, develop, and deliver quality online courses and programs that effectively integrate teaching methods, technology tools and assessments to enhance student learning. The position reports directly to the Office of Online Learning and will be co- located in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.

The Instructional Technology Development Specialist will contribute to the development of processes and procedures that increase consistency, quality and regulation compliance of courses and programs that are delivered online. The specialist will design, develop, and deliver workshops, seminars or discussion forums to engage faculty in online learning.

The Instructional Technology Development Specialist also serves as a project manager for courses in online programs that are created in partnership with the Office of Online Learning ensuring effective and efficient resource utilization and timely task completion.
