The Department of Computer Science at the State University of New York at Oswego invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position.

Description of Responsibilities: Will teach a range of core and elective courses in in programming, algorithms, systems, and/or languages; perform related research, especially in areas conducive to undergraduate participation; promote students' ability to succeed in a multicultural and global community.

In addition, this position will be expected to display a demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and scholarship, commitment to undergraduate and/or graduate education, and possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with an increasingly diverse array of students and colleagues.

Required Qualifications: Ph.D. by time of appointment, demonstrated teaching and research ability.

Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in areas covered in one or more other degree programs offered by the department.

Description of Department: The Computer Science Department currently offers Bachelor degree programs in Computer Science, Information Science, and Software Engineering, and participate in interdisciplinary programs in Cognitive Science and Linguistics, as well as Master's programs in Human Computer Interaction and Biomedical Health Informatics.
