Campus Description: Long Island's premier academic medical center, Stony Brook Medicine represents Stony Brook University's entire medical enterprise and integrates all of Stony Brook's health-related initiatives: education, research and patient care. It encompasses Stony Brook University Hospital, Stony Brook Children's Hospital, the five Health Sciences schools — Dental Medicine, Health Technology and Management, Medicine, Nursing and Social Welfare — as well as the major centers and institutes, programs and more than 50 community-based healthcare settings throughout Suffolk County. With 603 beds, Stony Brook University Hospital serves as Suffolk County's only tertiary care center and Regional Trauma Center. Required Qualifications:
Clinical Assistant Professor:
Masters degree in a field relevant to Health Management. Teaching experience. Experience in areas including, but not limited to, healthcare finance, healthcare management, healthcare operations, healthcare information management, healthcare quality or health literacy. Active participation in national and/or regional Health Management organization(s) (CAHME, AUPHA, ACHE, HLNY, HFMA, AMA, ANA or equivalent).

Clinical Associate Professor: Earned doctoral degree (PhD, DBA or equivalent) in a field relevant to Health Management. Masters degree in a field relevant to Health Management. Teaching experience. Experience in areas including, but not limited to, healthcare finance, healthcare management, healthcare operations, healthcare information management, healthcare quality or health literacy. Active participation in nation and/or regional Health Management organization(s) (CAHME, AUPHA, ACHE, HLNY, HFMA, AMA, ANA or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical Assistant Professor: Earned doctoral degree. Beginning record of scholarship. Commitment to an interdisciplinary academic environment.

Clinical Associate Professor: Successful record of ongoing scholarship in the field of Health Management or related field. Ability to teach in person and online. Commitment to an interdisciplinary academic environment.

Responsibilities & Requirements: The candidate will be responsible for teaching at the graduate level, maintaining a scholarly presence in the field of Health Management and participating fully in the life of the MHA Program, the School of Health Technology and Management and Stony Brook University select committees.

Special Notes: This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: 07/01/2017 and/or 09/01/2017.
