The Political Science Department at Lewis University seeks a half-time faculty member to be responsible for Mock Trail and Mediation teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Teach 3 credit hours per semester
  • Manage Mock Trial and Mediation teams, including recruiting and mentoring students, selecting and supervising coaches, scheduling and planning for competitions
  • Advise prelaw students
  • Interact with area high school mock trial students in regard to partnership and recruitment potential

Minimum Qualifications:

MA in Political Science. ABD will be considered. Content areas: constitutional law, judicial politics, and experience with Mock Trial and Mediation teams. Demonstrated record of teaching excellence at the college level.  Earned Ph.D. in Political Science or earned JD is preferred.
