Dean College is seeking a highly motivated, experienced and detail-oriented Registrar and Institutional Research Professional who will effectively collaborate with all facets of the campus community.

The Registrar duties will focus on maintaining the integrity of student academic records; implementing and enforcing academic policies and procedures; and managing the complete cycle of course scheduling, registration, grading, and degree conferrals.
Duties include but are not limited to: preparation of the master course schedule for each term, scheduling all academic classrooms, laboratories and studio spaces, creation of the final examination schedules, and the college calendar in cooperation with academic and student affairs; administration of student course registration; audit of students’ progress towards degree completion and certifying eligibility of degree candidates; evaluating, approving, and the processing of transfer and test credits; and will be responsible for reporting student enrollment to the National Student Clearinghouse.

The Registrar will also serve as the Director of Institutional Research which is responsible for coordinating, managing, and reporting on internal and external data collection related to institutional research and strategic decision-making (including the submission of Integrated Postsecondary Educational Data System surveys and annual reports to the New England Associate of Schools and Colleges as well as IPEDS, NEASC and the National Clearinghouse). The Director of Institutional Research will also participate in and provide supervision, leadership, and professional expertise in the research, reporting, and assessment functions of the college.

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required, Master’s Degree highly preferred; five to eight years of professional experience in a leadership role in a Registrar’s Office; strong written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, interpret and present data, broad understanding of and experience with student information systems (preferably Ellucian Colleague/DataTel) and reporting software such as Intrinsik Informer; proven accomplishments in data analysis and information technology are critical (expertise in Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office products); ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure; demonstrated excellence in customer service. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are necessary to work effectively with students, faculty, staff and alumni to accomplish position responsibilities. Accuracy with data entry and attention to detail are essential.
