The College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University is
seeking applications for a 3/4-time, non-tenure eligible, clinical
track position in theriogenology in the department of the VDPAM.
The commitment will be approximately 50% to both teaching and
professional practice. Responsibilities include delivery of
primarily bovine and small ruminant theriogenology services through
the FACH, VFS and the bovine embryo transfer unit, and primary
coverage of a portion of the after-hours calls in the FACH and VFS.
Additional responsibilities include teaching some of the core large
animal reproduction course in the third-year of the professional
curriculum, assisting with the elective bovine reproductive
(palpation) evaluation laboratory, and teaching fourth-year
students while delivering theriogenology services to clients. This
position is also expected to provide consultative support on herd
reproductive management best practices and problem resolution to
practitioners and food animal producers in the region.
