Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a twelve-month, non-tenure track Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Health Promotion and Physical Education and Director of Technology Enhanced faculty position in the Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education, WellStar College of Health and Human Services.

Position Responsibilities:

Twelve-month, full-time position to support technology enhanced learning, the BS in Health and Physical Education (P-12) program, and the institutional WELL 1000 course. Ideal qualifications include experience in technology enhanced instruction and health/physical education. Candidates are expected to engage in administrative assignments, teaching, and departmental, college, and university service.

The Director of Technology Enhanced Learning must have administrative experience to lead distance learning programming at the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services. This position is embedded in the Distance Learning Center under the co-direction of the Chair of the Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education and the Executive Director of the Distance Learning Center. Administrative position responsibilities include supporting the Executive Director in strategic program initiatives, large enrollment course design, online program marketing support, and graduate program strategies. Responsibilities also include executing the Executive Director’s vision/structure for early intervention programs and exploring external partnerships for high demand career initiative programs in the health and human services fields.

The Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Health and Physical Education must support the Health and Physical Education program and the institutional wellness requirement. This position requires the development of new and teaching current online courses including but not limited to Behavioral and Psychological Aspects of Physical Education and Coaching, Early Childhood Health/Physical Education for the Classroom Teaching, and Foundations for Healthy Living.

Required Education, qualifications, and experience:

Candidates must have an earned doctorate in health and physical education or a closely related field or its foreign equivalent. Applicants with the training, ability, and/or experience equivalent to the minimum degree may be considered. Candidates must possess administrative experience to lead distance learning programming.

The Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education is one of four academic units in the WellStar College of Health and Human Services. The Department offers undergraduate majors in Health and Physical, Public Health Education, and minors in Coaching and Public Health minor. The Department supports the University with a required core course and provides an array of physical activity classes.
