The Division of Gerontology, Geriatrics, and Palliative Care in the School of Medicine, Department of Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks an assistant professor, tenure earning or non-tenure earning. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. If accepted, the applicant will join a multidisciplinary Palliative Care Section and be expected to use current literature on evidence-based practices to provide patient care, consultation, clinical training, and didactics such as seminars, grand rounds, and classroom teaching. Opportunities are available for participating in research with clinical implications that can improve patient outcomes and quality of care. Candidates must have graduated from an APA accredited program, currently licensed or eligible to sit for licensing exam as a Psychologist by the Alabama Board of Examiners in Psychology required. If eligible to sit for licensing exam, must be licensed within one (1) year of hire date.
