VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN VISUAL ART EDUCATION

The Department of Visual Art (KU) seeks outstanding applicants for a one-year, non-tenure track, Visiting Assistant Professor position in Visual Art Education to begin as early as August 18, 2017. Subject to budget, satisfactory performance, and the needs of the department, the position may be renewed for an additional 1-2 years. Candidates must have a terminal degree in Art Education or a closely-related field from an accredited university, expected by the start date of the appointment. A strong and broad preparation of art education (e.g., curriculum, research methods, and the philosophical foundations of the field), demonstrated experience teaching art in the public schools, and demonstrated ability for high potential in research and publications are required.
