ORTHODONTIC ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA AT BIRMINGHAM
The Department of Orthodontics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham invites applications for a full-time regular Assistant Professor, tenure earning, a clinical-emphasis-track faculty position. Responsibilities include teaching human growth and craniofacial development, didactic and clinical orthodontics and research methodology to pre-doctoral and post-doctoral students. Qualified candidates must possess a DMD/DDS or equivalent, an Orthodontic certificate from a CODA accredited program and be eligible for certification with the American Board of Orthodontics. Eligibility for dental licensure in the United States is also required. Priority will be given to candidates with in depth experience in 3D-imaging, a track record of leadership in teaching, publishing in well-regarded journals and experience in digital orthodontics. Experience in supervising pre-doctoral dental students, post-doctoral residents, and post-graduate doctoral candidates is highly desirable. The candidate will be expected to establish independent research funding.
