Director of the English Language Center (ELC)

Winona State University invites applications for the position of Director of the English Language Center.  As the Director, you will be responsible for (1) providing

leadership; (2) overseeing an array of non-credit language programs within the English Language Center, (3) directing program evaluation and strategic planning efforts, and (4) teaching ESL courses. Minimum qualifications for this position are (1) a Master’s degree in TESOL at the time of hire OR a Master’s in a closely related field at the time of hire with evidence of the following provided: graduate course work in linguistics and English linguistics, second-language pedagogy, and second-language assessment, (2) five (5) years of teaching experience in an accredited Intensive English Program or other higher education ESL setting (one year as a graduate student working in an IEP program teaching a minimum of 4 courses equals one year of experience), and (3) at least 5 years of experience in ESL program administration at the higher education level.
