The Center for International Education Executive Director, in collaboration with members of the Provost Leadership Team, Vice President for Campus Community & Climate and faculty, form a team dedicated to internationalization of the University of Northern Colorado, its campuses and online programs. Specifically, the CIE Executive Director administers, collaborates and is responsible for oversight of the Center, the hub of international support on campus, including the offices of International Student and Scholar Support (ISSS), Study Abroad & Exchange, Summer & Short Courses, and the Intensive English Program. The Executive Director oversees the development, planning and execution of short-term cultural exchanges (short programs and courses), hosts international visitors, develops and institutes culturally responsive protocols for international visitors, and assesses the quality and impact of all CIE programing/services. Responsibilities include the following: aligning the CIE mission with the nine core plans, actively collaborating with other university units/programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state and university obligations, increasing the CIE’s visibility within the university and surrounding communities, accepting U.S. passport applications, providing academic support, international programming and events, and expanding the university’s international and community outreach.
