This University of Denver Health and Counseling Center is seeking a a full-time staff
counselor/coordinator of diversity and inclusion initiatives. The coordinator of diversity and
inclusion is a member of the Counseling Services senior staff at the University of Denver's
Health and Counseling Center (HCC) and provides direct counseling/psychotherapy,
outreach/prevention, crisis intervention, and assessment services to DU students, faculty, and
staff. This position has a particular emphasis on increasing the quantity and quality of services
provided by Counseling Services to diverse populations on campus, specifically those who
identify as ethnic or racial minorities or who may otherwise belong to historically marginalized
populations. This position will provide leadership for HCC staff trainings on culturally
competent clinical services, guide our consultation and outreach efforts to lower stigma, and
improve access for historically under-represented students. The staff counselor/coordinator of
diversity and inclusion initiatives is responsible for the supervision of the multicultural post
graduate/doctoral position. This position works within an integrated care model at the HCC
including primary care, mental health, advocacy, and health promotion.

This is a full-time, benefited, 40 hour per week position and reports to the Director of Counseling
Services. The position requires some evening clinic hours until 7 pm and attendance at
occasional evening outreach events.

The mission of the University of Denver Health and Counseling Center (HCC) is to provide
exceptional, inclusive, integrated health care. We promote student success and wellness through
education, advocacy and outreach to the University of Denver community. The HCC is an oncampus
health facility open 8am-5pm M-F with evening hours until 7pm two to three evenings a
week during the academic year, and provides a wide range of on-site medical and mental health
services.
