Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

The department of History in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University seeks candidates for a tenure-track position in Chinese history, time period open, at the rank of assistant professor.

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate surveys in Chinese history, East Asian history, and world history, as well as the ability to support the department’s general history M.A. program and Ph.D. program emphasizing rural/agricultural, environmental, and technological history.

Ph.D. in History on or before the start date of the appointment

 

Preferred Education and Experience       

Evidence of ability to teach introductory and upper-division courses in the history of China
