Biology: Four positions Assistant to Full Professor Ph.D. or MD required. Teach biomedical science related courses to complement existing faculty/courses in undergraduate and graduate biomedical sciences. Areas of particular need include Anatomy with cadaver dissection, cell biology/genetics, developmental biology, and physiology; other areas considered. Candidates are expected to supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects.
Chemistry: Assistant to Full Professor Earned doctorate with MS or Ph.D. in organic chemistry or closely related field to teach organic chemistry. Ability to supervise undergraduate research preferred.
Chemistry: Assistant to Full Professor Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or related field required. Experience with forensic chemistry preferred. Undergraduate research supervision is expected.
Exercise Science: One position. Assistant to Full-Professor Ph.D./Ed.D. in Exercise Science or related field; evidence of successful teaching at the university level; and evidence of scholarly activity. NSCA and or ACSM certification desirable. Capacity to teach a range of graduate courses in the Exercise Science program, including but not limited to Exercise Physiology, Research Methods, Statistics, Biomechanics, ECG & Exercise Prescription for Special Populations, Human Performance and/or Community Physical Activity.
Athletic Training: One position. Assistant to Full-Professor Ph.D./Ed.D. in Athletic Training or related field; evidence of successful teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level; and evidence of scholarly activity. An established research agenda and record of publications is preferred. Board of Certification Athletic Trainer and eligible for Virginia Athletic Training Licensure. Capacity to teach a range of courses within the current undergraduate and future master’s degree in Athletic Training.
