Mount Ida College (www.mountida.edu), a private college in Newton, MA, is accepting applications for a Dean of the School of Business and Graduate Studies, a full-time 12-month position. The College provides career-focused programs built upon a strong foundation in the social sciences, humanities, and the arts. Reporting to the Provost, the Dean administers all School programs, departments, personnel, budget, and facilities. The Dean must have teaching experience in a field represented among the academic departments within the School while also having familiarity with the other disciplines; will be expected to teach two courses per year after the first year; and have as a priority to grow a small MSM program in the School. The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate or terminal degree in a related field; 8 to 10 years’ experience in higher education, including managing programs and faculty; strategic leadership combined with a successful record of academic administrative leadership at both the graduate and undergraduate level; and a demonstrated commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of students and faculty in the context of the College’s goals.
