St. Ambrose University invites nominations and applications for the position of Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM). The University seeks an experienced Enrollment Management professional to oversee the admissions operations of the University and to ensure achievement of the enrollment goals in a manner consistent with the University’s mission and strategic plan.
Reporting to the President, the Vice President for Enrollment Management serves as a key member of the President’s cabinet. The VPEM leads the development and implementation of the University’ institution-wide enrollment management strategies. The position has responsibility for providing strategic leadership and direction for the development, administration and management of all functions and matters relating to a comprehensive and sustainable enrollment management strategy. The VPEM provides leadership and guidance to the departments of Admissions, Financial Aid, Communications and Marketing, and Retention. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about trends and best practices in enrollment management; have demonstrated success in all recruitment areas, including undergraduate, transfer, graduate, international and adult degree completion programs, including online learning; and a proven track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans. The VPEM also will develop enrollment plans and policies that are innovative, analytically rigorous and data-driven; and continuously assessed and refined, in partnership with the President, the Cabinet and other key campus stakeholders.
This position requires a minimum of a master's degree in an appropriate field and documented leadership experience in progressively significant management roles in higher education admissions, enrollment management, and financial aid. Excellent communication and relationship building skills are necessary as well as proficiency in communicating and engaging effectively with a wide range of constituencies including senior management, faculty, staff and board members. In addition, candidates must have experience in building and mentoring a team of enrollment management specialists as well as a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. Evidence of superior oral, written, and presentation skills is required.
