The Aspen Leadership Group is proud to partner with Kent State University in the search for a Senior Associate Vice President for Institutional Advancement (SAVP).

The SAVP serves as the senior administrative officer within the Division of Institutional Advancement and is responsible for the management of designated areas including the Center for Gift and Estate Planning, Corporate and Foundation Relations, Principal Gifts, Athletic Advancement, as well as oversight of the activities of the fundraising staff at the college, campus, and unit-based levels. The SAVP is the primary advisor and liaison to the Vice President on a variety of strategic fundraising initiatives and campaigns.

With strong improvements in alumni engagement and annual giving, the Division of Institutional Advancement and the Kent State University Foundation moved into a new home in 2015 that brought all advancement staff under one roof for the first time in the University’s history. This facility has set the stage for new levels of fundraising and alumni engagement throughout the next decade.

Serving as one of the primary members of the Institutional Advancement Management Team, the Senior Associate Vice President will lead the principal and major gifts program for Kent State University. The selected candidate will continue to develop and implement the University’s principal gifts program and work to ensure that the major gifts activities are maximized through an effective advancement team of fundraising professionals.

Through coordination and collaboration with the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, SAVP will also interface with the University’s Board of Trustees, Foundation Board of Directors, and Campaign Executive Committee as the University prepares for and implements its most ambitious fundraising campaign to date, with an initial working goal of $350,000,000.
