Dean of the School of the Arts
Utah Valley University (UVU), located in Orem, Utah, is the fastest growing and largest public, comprehensive university in the state. UVU is seeking an experienced and innovative leader to serve as Dean of the School of the Arts. The School includes departments of Art & Design, Dance, Music, Theatrical Arts, and the Woodbury Art Museum. It serves about 1,700 majors and a combined enrollment of more than 8,000 students each semester. The School’s mission is to attract students with sufficient talent and passion for a career in the Arts, challenging them to hone imagination, creativity, and innovation as they secure the knowledge, skills, and experiences vital to their success. It also enlivens, enhances, and enriches UVU and its extended community through scholarly activity, courses about the Arts, participation in or with the Arts, and public exhibits and performances. - Earned doctorate or terminal degree from a regionally-accredited university in a discipline represented within the School of the Arts
- Experience in higher education with a minimum of five years of successful administrative experience at the level of department chair or above, or five years of related professional experience at the management level
