Stuart School of Business at the Illinois Institute of Technology (Illinois Tech’s Stuart School) seeks to hire an Assistant Professor of Marketing Analytics. Candidates must have completed (or near completion of) a Ph.D. in Marketing or a related business discipline with substantial emphasis/expertise in marketing or analytics. Illinois Tech’s Stuart School is interested in a scholar who is passionate about contributing to the emerging field of marketing analytics and big data. The ideal candidate will be strong in quantitative methods, consumer behavior and digital marketing, and would fit in well with the Stuart School’s culture of teaching and studying multidisciplinary, technological, and quantitative approaches to managerial decision making. Prior exposure or expertise in optimization techniques, social network analysis and/or business experience in a managerial setting is very desirable.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach in undergraduate and graduate business programs, including courses in the PhD program in Management Science. Illinois Tech’s Stuart School encourages collaborative research across disciplines with a special focus on business, finance, management science, sustainability management, and marketing analytics contexts. The School aims to develop a world class reputation in the fields of quantitative finance and marketing analytics.

Qualifications, Responsibilities, and Compensation

The applicant must have a Ph.D. by August 14, 2017 in a relevant discipline from an accredited university, possess strong teaching skills, and demonstrate the ability to publish in refereed journals. 

Responsibilities include the potential to teach courses at all levels and conduct research consistent with the expectations of a doctoral granting university. Salary is competitive and includes a rich array of university benefits including medical, group life insurance, retirement, etc.
