The College of Arts & Sciences Writing Program at Boston University expects to hire two full-time Lecturers in Writing to begin in the fall of 2017. Responsibilities include teaching three theme-based first-year writing seminars (or equivalent) per semester and participating in program service and professional-development activities. The initial term of appointment is one year, with the possibility of renewal.
The Writing Program is an independent instructional unit with over forty full-time Lecturers. The program’s primary responsibility is to offer the two-semester sequence of theme-based writing seminars that is the standard way BU undergraduates satisfy their writing requirements.
