The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at Valparaiso University invites applications for a tenure-track (Instructor/Assistant Professor) position beginning August 2017. Preferred qualifications: ability to teach all levels of undergraduate Greek and Latin language, literature, and culture as well as Introduction to Classical Archaeology. Ability and willingness to teach writing-intensive courses also preferred. Both Hellenists and Latinists will be considered. Candidates should be Ph.D./ABD, committed to excellent teaching and show promise for scholarly activity.

Valparaiso is a selective private university 50 miles from Chicago. Candidates should be interested in working at a university engaged in issues in Christian higher education in the Lutheran tradition.
