I've read in various places (www.getalifephd.blogspot.com) that blogging on a regular basis can have an impact on scholarly writing. Most of the rationale behind this is the more you write, the better you become. Has anyone else had success with this?
I decided this past summer to start an academic blog (link to blog in my profile) on my lessons learned in doctoral studies. So far , I would say that it has helped me. The more I make myself organize my thoughts in my blog, the more comfortable I become in structuring my written word in other submitted publications.
